Will my wall hold a TV?

What's the maximum TV size you can mount?

We mount TVs up to 100–120 inches. Anything 65 inches and above requires two technicians to safely carry and install.

Do I need to buy the mount separately?

You provide the mount — we handle everything else. Before buying, check your TV's VESA pattern — the bolt hole spacing on the back — to make sure the mount is compatible. How long does a standard TV mount take?

Do I need to prepare anything before the appointment?

Have the TV on the mount ready and clear any fragile items away from the installation area. We'll unbox the TV if needed. As for moving furniture — you can wait until we arrive and we'll work around it together.

How much does TV mounting cost in NYC?

TV mounting starts at $150 for a standard wall mount (bracket-only, no cable hiding). TV mounting with cables covered is $200, and a full in-wall power outlet and cable installation starts at $600. Add-ons like soundbar mounting ($70) and LED backlighting ($50) are available too. The final price depends on your wall type, TV size, and whether you need extras. Does mounting a TV damage the wall?

TV mounting requires drilling 4 to 6 holes depending on the mount type. In drywall, these are easy to patch with DryDex spackle. In brick or concrete, the holes are the same size and always hidden behind the bracket. If you prefer no drilling at all, consider a TV floating stand instead — it holds your TV and media devices without a wall mount. If you ever need a mounted TV taken down, our TV dismounting service ($149) includes patching all screw holes.

Can you mount a TV without studs?

Yes — but it has to be in good drywall. Without studs, we recommend no bigger than 65 inches, and the mount must be a fixed mount (not a swivel or full-motion). We use heavy-duty toggle bolts rated for your TV's weight. Your technician assesses the wall on arrival and picks the safest approach. This is one of many reasons to hire a professional TV installer rather than DIY it.

How high should I mount my TV?

We recommend no lower than 42 inches from the floor to the center of your TV — that's the starting point for standard seating. Can I mount a TV in a rental apartment?

Yes — most NYC landlords allow TV mounting since the holes are small and easy to repair. We recommend checking your lease for any restrictions on wall modifications.
