Prospect Heights has a split personality architecturally. The blocks closest to Prospect Park are lined with late-19th and early-20th century limestone and brownstone rowhouses — plaster walls, original wood floors, and decorative details throughout. The blocks near Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush are dominated by larger pre-war apartment buildings and, increasingly, newer glass-and-concrete towers.
In the pre-war buildings, we anchor into plaster with toggle bolts and reinforce with plaster washers on heavier TVs. In the newer Pacific Park and Atlantic Yards towers, the walls are concrete or drywall over metal stud — and we carry the right drill bits and anchors for those too.
Prospect Heights families often want TVs in multiple rooms. We do whole-home installs regularly — living room, master bedroom, and kids' room in a single visit.
