Fort Greene's housing stock spans two very different eras. The pre-war rowhouses and brownstones east of Fort Greene Park are classic plaster-wall construction from the 1880s through 1920s. The western edge near Flatbush Avenue Extension has seen significant new development — glass-and-steel residential towers and converted loft buildings.
In the historic rowhouses, we anchor into plaster with toggle bolts and take care to work around the original trim and millwork. In the newer towers, we handle concrete walls with hammer drills and Tapcon anchors and can coordinate COI documentation with building management.
Fort Greene is also a neighborhood of discerning clients — many residents are professionals in creative fields who have very specific ideas about placement, height, and aesthetics. We take the time to discuss the setup before drilling.
